Define the sheet or panel before naming a resin
Record what is being made: the sheet or panel category, whether it is a roof-light requirement, supplied appearance requirement, visible-surface requirement and available reinforcement specification. A broad request for 'FRP sheet resin' is not enough to select a published grade safely.
This first step also separates a structural laminate question from a mould-facing surface question. Where a visible surface layer is part of the build-up, the separate Gelcoat Resin role should be reviewed rather than assumed to be included in the laminate resin selection.
Use the published product role to narrow the route
For the published pre-pigmented yellow sheet and panel route, review Sheet Grade Yellow Resin. For a water-white roof-light or skylight route, review Roof Light Sheet Grade Resin. For a broader transparent-yellow general-purpose laminate requirement, review GP Yellow Resin; for a broader parent category, start at Unsaturated Polyester Resin.
These are decision paths, not claims that one grade is universally better. If a stated chemical or corrosion-resistance requirement is central, use the separate Vinyl Ester Resin product information rather than assuming a general orthophthalic grade applies.
Keep reinforcement and documentation visible
Glass Fiber is a separate reinforcement product in an FRP material system. Its weight and form should be confirmed independently where specified; the resin name alone does not describe the complete component system.
Use the current TDS for the exact candidate product. Do not transfer viscosity, gel time, curing information, storage or performance expectations from a GP, roof-light, gelcoat or other resin page. A focused enquiry should include the component, supplied appearance, reinforcement requirement if known, expected quantity and delivery location.

Should a buyer choose a sheet resin by colour alone?
No. Supplied appearance is one decision input. The sheet or panel type, product role, reinforcement, surface-finish requirement and current product-specific TDS also need review.
