FRP Allied Products

Resin is only part of what a fabrication workshop consumes. This range covers the materials that sit alongside it: reinforcement and pigment, a reactive diluent, a lacquer thinner, mineral filler, mould release wax and the brushes used to apply everything. Most are ordered by the job rather than by the drum, so consumption rate usually matters more than unit price when planning a purchase.

Several of these products behave in ways that are easy to get wrong — a diluent that becomes part of the cured laminate, a thinner that suits one coating chemistry and not another, a filler whose loading limit decides whether a part is strong or porous. Documentation across this family is uneven, and it is better to say so than to let a product list imply otherwise. Two of the seven products carry supplier data sheets: FRP Polyester Pigment, and Glass Fiber Mat — for which the supplier publishes E-glass chopped strand mat in 300 and 450 g/m² weights, 50 mm fibre length and 1040 mm roll width. The other five are supplied without a supplier data sheet on file with us. Their product pages carry no published technical values for exactly that reason, and the guides linked above are background reading rather than specification.
