The appearance requirement comes first
These products are deliberately separated on the site because the buyer's finished-sheet requirement is different. Sheet Grade Yellow Resin is supplied pre-pigmented yellow for its sheet and panel role. Roof Light Sheet Grade Resin is supplied water-white for roof-light and skylight intent.
Use that supplied appearance distinction to start the selection conversation. Do not infer light-transmission percentage, UV rating, weathering life or other finished-sheet performance from the category name alone.
Two sheet routes, not one interchangeable grade
A coloured or opaque sheet/panel requirement points to the Sheet Grade Yellow product route for review. A roof-light or skylight requirement that calls for a water-white/translucent route points to Roof Light Sheet Grade Resin for review.
Both products should be checked against their own current TDS. Shared base-family wording does not allow values, handling information or suitability expectations to be transferred from one product page to the other.
Document the product decision
For either enquiry, provide the finished-sheet or panel type, required supplied appearance, reinforcement requirement if known, production context, expected quantity and delivery location. Add a drawing or buyer specification if one is available.
If a visible mould-facing surface is a separate requirement, also identify it so the Gelcoat Resin role can be reviewed independently. This guide does not prescribe a build-up or processing method.
Separate the published sheet roles
| Selection question | Sheet Grade Yellow Resin | Roof Light Sheet Grade Resin |
|---|---|---|
| Supplied appearance | Pre-pigmented yellow | Water-white |
| Published role | Sheet moulding and laminate applications | Roof-light and skylight sheet intent |
| Buyer starting point | Coloured or opaque sheet/panel requirement | Water-white/translucent sheet requirement |
| Document to review | Sheet Grade Yellow Resin TDS | Roof Light Sheet Grade Resin TDS |
This comparison does not state light-transmission, UV, weathering or mechanical-performance values. Use the current product-specific data for the actual requirement.
Frequently asked questions
Which resin should be reviewed for a translucent roof-light sheet?
Start with the separately published Roof Light Sheet Grade Resin page and its current TDS. A pre-pigmented yellow resin has a different supplied appearance and product role.
Does water-white automatically state a light-transmission value?
No. This guide uses the published supplied appearance and product role only. It does not assign optical-performance data that is not in the current product documentation.
