The shared word 'epoxy' does not make these products interchangeable

The current Vinyl Ester TDS identifies a Bisphenol-A based epoxy vinyl ester product. Samrat also lists conventional epoxy products, including Clear Casting Resin, Epoxy Art Resin and Fiberglass Epoxy Resin. Those are separate product routes with their own product data and intended-use context.

A buyer should therefore use the product name as a starting point, not a shortcut. 'Epoxy vinyl ester' is supported terminology for this Vinyl Ester grade; it is not a statement that the product is the same as every conventional epoxy material on the site.

Start with the documented application role

Vinyl Ester Resin is the product route to review when the industrial FRP component has a stated chemical- or corrosion-service requirement. The Vinyl Ester TDS lists tanks, chemical storage vessels, pipelines, ducts, scrubbers, pultrusion and filament-winding contexts.

The separate epoxy products have published roles of their own, such as decorative casting, art and structural fiberglass laminating. These labels do not establish a performance ranking or make one product a substitute for another.

Use the correct document before procurement

For Vinyl Ester Resin, review the Vinyl Ester TDS and provide the component, service medium, concentration and temperature where relevant. For a conventional epoxy requirement, identify the exact epoxy product and review its matching current document.

This comparison intentionally excludes mixing ratios, catalyst information, cure schedules and fabrication instructions. Those details are system-specific and are not a safe basis for a general product comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Is Epoxy Vinyl Ester Resin the same as Epoxy Resin?

No. Samrat Poly Resins, India's Vinyl Ester TDS uses 'Bisphenol-A epoxy vinyl ester' to identify its Vinyl Ester product. The site separately publishes conventional epoxy product routes, each with its own documentation and intended-use context.

Can an epoxy casting product be used instead of Vinyl Ester Resin for a chemical-service FRP requirement?

No substitution is published. Start with the actual finished component, service requirement and exact product documentation rather than transferring a decorative casting product into an industrial FRP selection.

Does this comparison provide resin mixing or cure instructions?

No. It is a material-selection guide only. Review the current document for the exact system and do not transfer operating instructions between product routes.
